What is Esper Hardware Validation?

Comprehensive testing for zero surprises
Our hardware validation program puts Android devices through full-stack compatibility testing across the entire Esper platform. We test every feature, every edge case, and every build to make sure every Esper Validated device delivers on everything our device management platform has to offer.

Other programs stop at GMS devices, but Esper supports both GMS and AOSP builds, ensuring long-term device reliability and operational efficiency across diverse hardware deployments.

When a device is validated:

Every Esper feature is tested
and verified

Remote control performance is guaranteed at scale

Compatibility issues are resolved before deployment

Devices are promoted across Esper’s channels and partner network

Validation means no surprises. Just hardware that works, exactly as expected.

The Validated Advantage

Why OEMs Choose Validation
Turn Hardware Specs into Competitive Wins.

Enterprise buyers don’t just buy performance. They compare risk. Validation eliminates that risk and gives your hardware a competitive edge. Here’s what validation does for OEM partners:

Win competitive bids before the RFP even closes:

Validated hardware gets picked first because it removes deployment uncertainty (and mid-rollout jumpscares) from the equation.

Cut post-sales support overhead (in dollars and headaches):

Every issue you fix in validation is one you’ll never field a support ticket for later. That means fewer escalations, happier customers, and more capacity for your team to focus on growth instead of firefighting.

Get in front of active
buyers:

Validated devices earn marquee placement across Esper-owned channels and partner network. That’s visibility where it counts: at the exact moment enterprises are deciding what to buy.

Build enterprise trust that translates to repeat business:

Enterprises remember which vendors made their lives easier. Validation turns capability into credibility. And credibility into repeat business.

Bottom line: Partners with validated devices close more deals, faster, with less friction.
Why Esper Customers Choose Validation
Ditch the Deployment Tax

Even the best laid plans can be waylaid by the dreaded Deployment Tax: the hidden weeks (or months) spent troubleshooting a device that doesn’t actually support the exact feature you need.

Here’s how validation cuts it off at the pass:

Deploy on schedule, not
on vibes:

Validated devices work out of the box. No discovery phase. No compatibility surprises mid-rollout.

Compatibility you can take to
the bank:

Validated devices pass comprehensive testing across Esper’s platform — including the edge cases that turn other MDM solutions into paperweights.

Sleep better knowing remote control won’t fail at scale:

Remote control is non-negotiable for most enterprise fleets. Validated devices guarantee it works. Not “works, kinda” or “works until it doesn’t.” Works.

Choose from hardware you can actually trust:

Our trusted ecosystem of validated OEM partners ensures every validated device has been tested, debugged, and proven in real-world deployments. Shop any device on the list with confidence.

Future-proof your hardware investment:

Validation ensures long-term compatibility and support alignment. It’s our promise that your hardware keeps pace with OS and Esper updates.

Bottom line: The math is simple: Validation is the cheapest insurance policy you’ll ever buy.

How Hardware Validation Works

Who can request hardware validation?

OEM Led Validation

Signed OEM partners may work directly with their Partner Account Manager for *device validation. Non-partner OEMs may also request
device validation for a flat fee. Not a partner yet?

What is the validation process?

You request validation

You (OEM or enterprise) let us know which devices you’d like validated and share a few key details. It’s a simple form with a fast turnaround from us.

Esper collaborates with the manufacturer

Esper works directly with the manufacturer to review the use case and project scope. We’ll also ensure we have everything needed for testing, including signed supervisor plugins, Seamless images, and — most importantly — the device itself.

Validation testing begins

Our engineering team runs a full suite of tests across all features Esper can control. We then share a detailed results report with the manufacturer and, if issues are found, partner with them to remediate blockers. After fixes are applied, we retest. When validation is complete, your device is awarded Esper Validated status and listed in our catalog
