Job Description:

Design and implement deployment automation workflows that scale across multiple teams around the world. Set up and maintain test, quality assurance, and production infrastructure. Monitor key infrastructure components, including database, message queues, CI systems and public facing services for performance degradation, downtimes, and security breaches. Work closely with engineering teams during every stage of project execution to proactively estimate infrastructure and resource requirements. Provide critical feedback to engineering teams in early project stages on best practices for creating new services, defining configuration, and handling sensitive data. Use metrics and data to provide insights on customer usage, bottlenecks, future requirements, security and scalability of the platform. Identify infrastructure issues and bottle necks. Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills. Manage vendor-related activities, including evaluating various third-part developer tools and services to enhance overall productivity. Perform on-call engineering duties, create and triage incidents where necessary, set up follow-up actions, and perform Root Cause Analysis. Telecommuting permitted up to 40%; employee must reside within normal commuting distance of employer’s office location in Bellevue, WA.


Requirements:

Requires a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field, and six months of experience in:

  • Managing the deployment pipeline and introducing branched GIT workflow to allow for testing, and creating and maintaining fully automated CI/CD pipelines for code deployment and permissions, including branching, and tagging;
  • Utilizing multiple Cloud providers, including AWS, to deploy and maintain mission critical infrastructure that support customer-facing services;
  • Analyzing, reporting and optimizing infrastructure cost across all teams, identifying high cost areas and propose plans to reduce those costs;
  • Restructuring back-end code to optimize query times, stability and performance, and preparing and formatting data for integration into structured objects; and
  • Developing and modifying web APIs with cross functional teams.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40%; employee must reside within normal commuting distance of employer’s office location in Bellevue, WA.

Will accept paid or unpaid internship, research or co-op experience gained during academic studies.

Salary range: $171,891.72 to $180,000 per year
